You may feel that you have too much time alone to contemplate life. If your thoughts have become negative and you're struggling to manage your feelings, I would like to help. Anxiety is natural, to a certain extent, as we navigate the challenges of life. An excessive level of anxiety and fear can cause a number of physical symptoms to take over; repeating thoughts, sweating, stomach upsets, belief that we're sick- even when we have no symptoms, not taking care of ourselves, self-medicating with drugs/alcohol/smoking etc. It is when these symptoms become more prevalent that it's time to accept you may need to speak to someone.
Sometimes, just being able to share your fears and concerns with someone other than family/friends, can be all you need to relieve the tension.
I completely understand how certain thoughts can escalate to unmanageable levels; just by taking your focus down to your breathing, the rhythm of each breath entering and leaving your lungs, the rise and fall of your chest, the rise and fall of your stomach, can bring you immediate calm. Practise this every time your thoughts threaten to envelope you; even when out walking etc.
Practising mindfulness and gratitude can also be levellers; placing your feet firmly on the ground (outside barefoot if possible) and imagining a golden thread anchoring you to the energies of the earth, can help to remind you that you are part of something bigger than the small things that build up around you.
When doing your breathing exercises, on each outer breath, say out loud all the things that you are grateful for; "I am grateful for the air in my lungs," "I am grateful for the love of my family," "I am grateful for the food in my cupboards," etc.. write down all that you are grateful for before you begin your breathing exercises. This will help you to focus. Perhaps make a poster of all that you already have and stick up somewhere that you can remind yourself of these things, when you feel that other factors are becoming too difficult to manage.
Whether you believe in a God or not, being aware of nature around you, that remains steadfast regardless of what we put it through, can help to raise your mood. Take note of the patterns of the flowers, the beautiful song of the birds, the brilliance of colours, the crispness of the air, the love from your pets, the unfaltering supply of water and oxygen, the fruit and veg etc..
If you do believe in something bigger and greater than we are, then now is a good time to say thank you for everything we take for granted.
My usual rates, including special offers, will now apply, as can be found on my BOOK NOW page.
I wish you all the very best. Stay safe and look after yourselves.
Very best wishes,
